Libertalia, officially known as the Republic of Libertalia, is a self-declared sovereign state located in the US State of Florida, founded on November 27th, 2017 with the aim of creating a fully functional democratic state where the personal freedoms of it's citizens are guaranteed through a system of proportional, representative democracy. 

The Republic of Libertalia, in all of its functions, aims primarily to focus on projects and operations which directly benefit it's surrounding local community as well as the wider State of Florida through social welfare projects and community service operations. These operations are conducted free-of-charge for the community and are conducted entirely by volunteers who dedicate their time and effort towards uplifting those in need. 

Libertalia operates several public assistance and community service projects, beginning in 2024 with the launch of Operation Thunderbolt, a Libertalian Army and National Severe Weather Survey operation to assist areas effected by Hurricane Milton, which struck the state that year.

Following the success of Operation Thunderbolt, the Republic began searching for new avenues to continue Libertalia's mission of public service to the Floridian community. In 2025, these projects will include the continuation and expansion of NSWS storm recovery operations encompassing areas within Central and South Florida, as well as the newly created Cleanup Libertalia initiative, which will see Libertalian volunteers take to Florida's National Parks and Forests to conduct cleanup and ecological preservation operations, encouraging environmental conservation, physical fitness and advocacy for preserving Florida's natural flora and fauna, which has been under threat by land development initiatives state-wide.
